Khurkush Ruins are located south of the Barkan industrial zone.

This site has many Second Temple period tombs. The ancient name of this site is still unknown, but the findings show that a wealthy Jewish community thrived here, toward the end of the Second Temple Period. One of the tombs is quite magnificent, with elaborate columns in the facade, floral reliefs and even a bench hewn out of the rock. These decorations hint at the great wealth of the families that lived there.
