Benyo Lookout

Benyo Lookout

Benyo Lookout is a small park (1/4 acre) beside the community of Elon More, with a lookout in its center, surrounded by picnic tables, a telescope mounted on a stone stand and an audio explanation of the view in Hebrew and English.

The lookout was a joint project of Shomron Local Council and the Israel Nature and Parks Authority, and was dedicated during Pesach 5775 (2015). The park is named after Ben-Yosef (“Benyo”) Livnat, who was shot dead by PA policemen during a visit to Yosef’s Tomb. The dedication ceremony was attended by then-Minister of Sports and Culture Limor Livnat, Benyo’s aunt.
