Ma’ayan Eyal

Ma’ayan Eyal

Ma’ayan Eyal in Rehelim is a shallow, man-made spring built on two levels and named in memory of Eyal Yifrach.

What will you find there?

There are two pools, one shaped like a peanut and the other, whose floor is made of flat river stones, is shaped like a drop of water. When viewed from above, the pools and the channels connecting them resemble a deer’s head.

Two shallow pools (maximum depth: 45 cm, or about 18 inches), with an artificial lawn and shaded picnic tables beside them. The water in the pools is circulated through an adjacent pump mechanism.

How to get there:

Follow the signs to Rehelim, off Route 60. Immediately after the entrance to the community, turn right onto a dirt road. After about 100 meters you will see the site of the spring and the pools on the right.
